It's not every day that you get the NPR nod. So you can imagine how thrilled we were to accept an invitation to talk shop with Renee Montagne, host of Morning Edition.
With that, our resident app expert and fearless leader, aka Ben Keighran headed down to the local Bay Area KQED station to meet the Morning Edition team and offer his perspective on the world of apps.
Though the clip is roughly three minutes, the extended conversation included some of the exciting times in tech (like 1996, as referenced here) and how the incredible adoption of apps is creating some very cool disruptive technology amidst an app hungry audience of smartphone users
So, what else did Ben talk about outside the 3 minute clip? Naturally, more apps! While the audio segment highlighted a list of 'utility' apps, Ben demonstrated his (mad) skills at two of his favorite game apps - Angry Birds and Tiny Wings. In addition to being wildly fun, addicting and popular, both apps boast some impressive stats. Angry Birds has held the #1 paid app position for 275+ days (far more than any other app) while Tiny Wings rose to instant stardom and has held the coveted #1 paid app spot for roughly 30 days and continues to be listed as a top 10 app in the App Store.
